Welcome to Africalittle5. These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, reservations, and travel services provided by Africalittle5, including Tanzania safaris, Mount Kilimanjaro treks, Mount Meru climbs, Zanzibar holidays, cultural tours, day trips, and other travel-related services.
By booking a tour with Africalittle5, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once:
- A completed booking form has been received.
- The required deposit has been paid.
- Written confirmation has been issued by Africalittle5.
Upon confirmation, clients will receive a booking confirmation and payment receipt.
2. Deposit and Payment Terms
To secure a reservation, a deposit is required.
Payment Requirements
- A deposit of 30%–50% of the total tour cost may be required at the time of booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the tour unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- All payments must be made using approved payment methods provided by Africalittle5.
Failure to complete payment by the agreed deadline may result in cancellation of the booking.
3. Prices and Quotations
All quotations are based on current rates, taxes, park fees, accommodation costs, and government regulations at the time of booking.
Africalittle5 reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of:
- Government tax increases
- National park fee changes
- Currency fluctuations
- Unexpected supplier cost increases
Any significant changes will be communicated to clients as soon as possible.
4. Cancellation Policy
If a booking is cancelled by the client, cancellation charges may apply.
Typical Cancellation Charges

5. Changes to Bookings
Clients may request modifications to confirmed bookings.
Changes may include:
- Travel dates
- Accommodation upgrades
- Additional activities
- Safari extensions
- Zanzibar beach extensions
Additional costs may apply depending on availability and supplier policies.
6. Client Responsibilities
All travelers are responsible for ensuring they possess:
Required Travel Documents
- Valid passport
- Required visas
- Travel insurance
- Vaccination certificates (where applicable)
- Flight tickets
Africalittle5 is not responsible for costs resulting from incomplete or incorrect travel documentation.
7. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers.
Insurance should cover:
- Medical emergencies
- Trip cancellation
- Emergency evacuation
- Lost luggage
- Personal liability
- Adventure activities
Travelers are responsible for obtaining their own insurance coverage.
8. Health and Medical Conditions
Clients must inform Africalittle5 of any relevant medical conditions, dietary requirements, physical limitations, or special needs before travel.
This information helps us provide appropriate support and arrangements whenever possible.
9. Kilimanjaro and Mountain Trekking
Participation in mountain trekking activities involves inherent risks associated with high-altitude environments.
Climber Responsibilities
- Follow guide instructions at all times.
- Disclose any medical conditions.
- Trek at a safe pace.
- Participate in daily health checks.
Africalittle5 reserves the right to remove participants from a trek if guides determine continuation may pose a safety risk.
10. Safari Conditions
Wildlife safaris take place in natural environments.
Important Information
- Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
- Animal behavior is unpredictable.
- Weather conditions may affect activities.
- Itineraries may be adjusted for safety or operational reasons.
Every effort is made to provide the best possible safari experience.
11. Accommodation
Africalittle5 works with carefully selected hotels, lodges, camps, and resorts.
In rare situations beyond our control, accommodations may be substituted with similar alternatives of comparable standard.
12. Transportation
Transportation may include:
- 4×4 safari vehicles
- Domestic flights
- Airport transfers
- Boats and ferries
- Ground transportation
While every effort is made to maintain schedules, delays caused by weather, road conditions, airlines, or other factors may occur.
13. Force Majeure
Africalittle5 shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Floods
- Severe weather
- Government actions
- Political unrest
- Pandemics
- Strikes
- Airline disruptions
In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to provide suitable alternatives where possible.
14. Liability
Africalittle5 acts as a tour operator coordinating services provided by accommodation providers, transport companies, guides, and other suppliers.
While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure client safety and satisfaction, we shall not be held liable for:
- Personal injury
- Illness
- Loss of personal belongings
- Delays caused by third parties
- Missed flights or connections
- Events beyond our control
Participation in all activities is undertaken at the traveler’s own risk.
15. Photography and Marketing
Africalittle5 may occasionally use photographs or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes.
Clients who do not wish to appear in marketing materials should notify us in writing before the start of their tour.
16. Environmental Responsibility
Africalittle5 is committed to responsible and sustainable tourism.
We encourage travelers to:

- Minimize waste

17. Complaints and Claims
If a client experiences any concerns during their trip, they should notify their guide or Africalittle5 representative immediately.
Prompt communication allows us the opportunity to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
Formal complaints should be submitted in writing within 30 days of tour completion.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
19. Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking with Africalittle5, the client confirms that they:
- Have read these Terms & Conditions.
- Understand the terms outlined herein.
- Agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
- Accept the responsibilities associated with travel and participation in booked activities.
